Halite is a natural salt crystal that is created as the lake bed evaporates - it naturally grows into these geometric shapes. It gets its pink hue from various algae species. Pink Halite will dissolve in water (salt crystal) so handle with care! These crystals are rare and hard to find in such good quality of formation with hard, sharp angles and large cubic growths.
